Jeremiah 27:6 God said: I now have given all these lands to Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon, – My servant.
Pastor Arnold Murray summarized that: God is in control and used King Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon, to slaughter and capture God’s “chosen” Jews and Jerusalem – to teach them a lesson. This King was an enemy of the Jews yet King Nebuchadnezzar actually wrote a portion of the Bible.
Lewis Smedes: Commitment in theater is also true in preaching a sermon. On Friday night I wrestle with my doubts – is it really true? On Sunday morning I can preach on the same subject so committed undoubtedly. On Monday, I might be wrestling with doubts again.
